Extra Eyes Camera Registry Program #ONECOMMUNITY
Allen Park is the best place to live and work. We were recently ranked in the top 50 safest cities in Michigan. Please consider partnering with the Allen Park Police Department to keep AP safe! The Extra Eyes Camera Registry Program will help the Police Department locate video evidence, so that more criminals may be apprehended and successfully prosecuted. The Police Department is asking residents and businesses with exterior surveillance cameras on their property to register their cameras. If an incident occurs near your business or residence, the Police Department may contact you and ask you to review your surveillance video for possible evidence. Participation in this program is completely voluntary. We would never have direct access to your system. Once you register you will be given a Extra Eyes program sticker for your home/business. We also feel the sticker may be a deterrent.
Video surveillance is one of the best methods for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects. Several significant local incidents have been resolved and successfully prosecuted because of video evidence. If you are interested in participating in this community-police partnership, Please pick up a registration form from us.
