Water Meter Enhancement Project
The City of Allen Park’s Water Department will begin installing transmitters that will be attached to the touch pad meter reading unit on the exterior of every home and business in Allen Park starting May 5, 2008. There is no cost to Allen Park homeowners or business owners for the new meter reading technology, as this project will be funded by the General Obligation Taxable Capital Improvement Bond sale which was taken out several years ago for Water & Sewer infrastructure enhancements. Therefore, this project does not impact the General Fund.
