The City of Allen Park offers a wide range of year round activities and services for residents, age 62 and older. The Allen Park Senior Program operates Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. The office is located inside the Allen Park Community Center, 15800 White Street. For more information, please call: 313-928-0770. Our main purpose is to provide an accessible means of transportation for Allen Park Senior Citizens who cannot drive. Reservation for the van service must be made at least 24 hours in advance; and 1 week in advance for the handicap accessible bus. Call for reservations 313-928-0770. The use of this system is limited to the Senior Members and will only transport members in a 3-mile radius of the City of Allen Park. The schedule is as follows:
Mondays - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Rides for medical appts, banking needs, & grocery shopping at Meijer (Allen Park) are $2.00 each way (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup)
Tuesdays - 8:30am - 3:30 pm
Rides to the Allen Park Community Center for senior program activities, $1.00 round trip (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup). Also,
Rides for medical appts, banking needs, and shopping are $2.00 each way (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup)
Wednesdays - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Rides for medical appts, banking needs, & grocery shopping to Kroger (Southfield Rd.) are $2.00 each way (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup)
Thursdays - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Rides to the Allen Park Community Center for senior program activities, $1.00 round trip (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup). Also,

Fridays - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Rides for medical appts, banking needs, hair appts, grocery shopping at Meijer (Allen Park) are $2.00 each way (cash only payable to the driver upon pickup)
NEW "SAME DAY SHUTTLE" SERVICE
Need a ride at the last minute? We can help with our new "SAME DAY SHUTTLE" service! Give us a call!
A growing population of senior citizens in the City of Allen Park and an increasing demand for mobility enabled the City of Allen Park to offer this new "Same Day Shuttle" service Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. Last call for pick up will be at 3:15pm. The cost of this same day service is $3 each way.
The service is open to members of the Allen Park Senior Center Area Transportation (SCAT). The yearly fee is $9 for residents. This new service was designed with senior citizens in mind including doctor's appointments and various shopping areas, located within the 3 mile radius of Allen Park.
